Arccos is one of a growing number of companies targeting the analysis and gamification of players’ golf games. Their sensors screw into the butt-end of your golf club and are paired with an app on your smartphone.

I briefly used a set of Arccos sensors a couple years ago, but quickly gave up on them because the sensors kept unscrewing and flying off the clubs.

The problem is that the clockwise screw threads back-out when a right-handed player swing the club while holding the club near the end. The easily solution would be to manufacture the sensors with counter-clockwise screw threads so that they are continually tightening rather than loosening when the player swings the club.

Or, they could team up with an innovative golf club manufacturer to integrate the sensors into the clubs themselves — wait, they just did!
